Job Description:

The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is an association deep with history and tradition. Founded in 1890, this large YMCA recently celebrated its 130 year anniversary. Our association staff and volunteers are entrepreneurial in spirit and management style allowing key staff and volunteers to set the direction of the association for the common good of all. The Fort Worth Y (Pre COVID) is a Mid-Major YMCA, with a budget of $25M. This $25M organization with 11 branch/operating units and approximately 650+ staff members seeks a Branch Executive to lead operations at the Northwest YMCA.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinates the development of the branch board and committees. Directs the volunteer activities of the branch. Develops strategies to increase volunteer involvement at all levels of the branch including board development.

  • Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops, maintains, and models collaborative relationships with community agencies in service deliver area.
  • Develops, manages, and monitors the branch operating budget and meet or exceeds budget targets.
  • Directs the financial development activities of the branch.
  • Fosters a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs which support the Y mission, goals, and strategies.
  • Oversees the hiring, training, development and supervision of staff.
  • Directs branch strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan of the branch.
  • Ensures the safety and maintenance of high quality facilities, grounds, and equipment.
  • Directs branch marketing and communication efforts to effectively communicate benefit to the community.
  • Serves as a member of Y management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with qualifications to meet state licensing requirements At least 1 year supervisory experience in childcare, education or equivalent Demonstrated success leading education-focused or equivalent team Demonstrated leadership, dependability & flexibility in work hours Complete within 30 days of hire: YMCA cause & culture training; education-specific training; Child Abuse Prevention Training; BLS CPR; First Aid;
  • Emergency Oxygen Administration (provided by YMCA)
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community and successful clearance of background check
